This example wears style 717 five-passenger coupe coachwork that is finished in green with gold pinstriping. Equipment includes dual brake lights, running boards, dual fender-mounted spare tires, twin horns, and a “Goddess of Speed” hood ornament. Chipped paint and rust can be seen on the right-rear fender.
Body-color wire wheels wear Packard-branded chrome hubcaps and are mounted with Lester whitewall tires. The model 1101 rode on a 136.25” wheelbase and featured semi-elliptical leaf springs at all four corners. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel vacuum-assisted drum brakes, and ride-control adjustable suspension was equipped from the factory.
The cabin features a split front bench upholstered in tan cloth along with a matching headliner, door panels, and carpeting. The front seats tilt forward to allow ingress to the rear bench seat. Packard-branded black rubber floor mats are fitted in the front and rear.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a painted steel woodgrain dashboard with an instrument panel housing a Waltham 120-mph speedometer and eight-day clock along with gauges monitoring oil pressure, fuel level, amperage, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 67k miles, approximately 4k of which were added under current ownership.
A plaque affixed to the left side of the dash indicates that the car was awarded a Senior National First Prize by the AACA in 1981.
The 319ci L-head straight-eight is finished in green and features a Stromberg EE-22 carburetor. Power output was rated at 120 horsepower when new.
