Bright-green 16″ steel wheels feature chrome trim rings and GMC-branded hubcaps and are mounted with 6.50-series bias-ply Firestone Deluxe Champion tires. A matching spare is positioned under the bed. Work in December 2021 included rebuilding the steering box and adjusting the left-front wheel cylinder. Braking is handled by drums at all four corners, and a dual master cylinder has been installed.
The cab features a gunmetal-finished dashboard and door panels plus a burgundy vinyl bench seat with color-coordinated door-panel inserts. Equipment includes a heater, an AM radio, vacuum-operated windshield wipers, rubber floor mats, sun visors, and a locking glovebox. The brake- and clutch-pedal pads were replaced in December 2021, and the seller states that the radio should be cleaned for improved performance. A six-volt Optima Redtop battery is accessible beneath the passenger-side floorboard.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames an 80-mph speedometer and a combination gauge for fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 1,600 miles, which is said to reflect the distance accumulated since the refurbishment. The seller has driven the truck approximately 12k miles in total, and the odometer reportedly showed around 77k miles prior to the refurbishment. Actual mileage is unknown.
The 228ci inline-six was overhauled as part of the refurbishment completed in 2014. The original glass-bowl fuel filter was replaced with a metal filter during the refurbishment, and work since December 2021 has included replacing the valve-cover gasket and the fuel-tank grommet; the replacement tank grommet shows signs of wear, and an uninstalled grommet is included in the sale. The seller states that oil weeps from the oil-pan drain plug.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission and a rear differential that were overhauled as part of the refurbishment. The seller states that paint is flaking from the exhaust system, oil is weeping from the differential and the driveshaft, and the bottom of the differential has an indentation from jack use.
