Factory-finished in Pearl Grey and previously finished in green, the exterior received a driver-quality repaint in white around 1991 and features fog lamps, black-on-yellow California license plates, and chrome front and rear bumpers with overriders. Factory-finished in Pearl Grey and previously finished in green, the exterior received a driver-quality repaint in white around 1991 and features fog lamps, black-on-yellow California license plates, and chrome front and rear bumpers with overriders. Various paint imperfections can be seen in the gallery, and the seller notes that a soft top frame and a set of worn side curtains are included in the sale.
The chrome 15” wire wheels feature knock-off hubs and are wrapped in Capitol Sport tires measuring 205/70 at all four corners. A full-size spare is found in the rear storage area, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel drums.
The cabin is trimmed in black with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets lined with rubber mats. Lap belts are fitted for both occupants, and additional equipment includes a dash-mounted rear-view mirror and passenger-side grab handle. An aftermarket speaker has been fitted in the passenger-side door panel, and the seller reports that the trunk interior light is inoperable.
A wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel fronts a central instrument panel that houses a reverse-sweep 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset clock, a 140-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows just under 500 miles, though total mileage is unknown.
The 3.4-liter DOHC inline-six features twin SU carburetors and was reportedly rebuilt around 1991. An aftermarket exhaust and electric fan have been fitted, and the wiring harness is said to have been replaced in 2015. Flaws noted by the seller include an inoperable washer fluid bottle, damage to the oil pan, and rust around the battery box.
The car is titled using engine number G6818-8S, which is shown on the cylinder head above, as well as the engine block and chassis plate in the gallery below.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery below.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate lists the factory colors and identification numbers along with a completion date of January 30, 1956.
A driving video is presented above, and cold-start footage can be seen below.
