The car was finished from the factory in Rajah Silver (92), and it was repainted yellow as part of the aforementioned refurbishment that was completed in 1995. Styling updates for the 1958 model year included quad headlamps and smaller chrome-trimmed fins accompanied by a wide grille with “Dagmar” bumper guards. Further features include a gray soft top, vertical chrome slashes ahead of the open rear wheel housings, and crest medallions on the flanks of the tail fins. Close-up images of scratches underneath the front bumper and other exterior blemishes are presented in the gallery below.
Sabre-spoke 15” wheels are mounted with Auburn whitewall radial tires, which were installed in April 2023. Braking is from power-assisted drums. The car is equipped with an air-ride suspension system, although the selling dealer reports that it does not function.
The cabin houses two rows of bench seats trimmed in gray leather upholstery along with matching door panels and color-coordinated carpeting. An Autronic Eye headlight-dimming system is mounted atop the dashboard, and a windshield-wiper switch is positioned underneath. Other features include power side windows and power-operated vent windows, a push-button AM radio, and rubber floor mats. The car was equipped from the factory with air conditioning, but the selling dealer reports that both it and the power-operated front bench seat are inoperative. Interior imperfections are pictured in the gallery.
A two-tone steering wheel fronts an analog clock and instrumentation consisting of a horizontal-sweep 120-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 50k miles, less than five of which were added by the selling dealer. True mileage is unknown.
The 365ci V8 is topped with a trio of carburetors. The exhaust manifolds were replaced, wiring repairs were completed, and a fluid service was performed in anticipation of the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. The selling dealer notes fluid leaks from the oil pan, power steering, and transmission. Corrosion is evident on various underside components, additional images of which are provided in the gallery.
