Steel 13″ wheels wear chrome trim rings, hubcaps with body-color accents, and Kelly Explorer tires. The chrome wheel trim was reportedly refurbished and re-chromed and the hubcaps were refinished in Ivory during the 2009 refurbishment. The car is equipped with a double-wishbone front suspension, rear swing axles with coil springs, and power-assisted drum brakes. Additional work completed in 2009 reportedly included rebuilding the vacuum assist system and replacing the springs, brake master cylinder, wheel cylinders, and tie rods and ends.
The cabin features low-back bucket seats trimmed in replacement red leather complemented by matching door panels and dashboard trim. Amenities include a Becker Europa AM/FM radio, a rear “Kinder” jump seat, an analog clock, and a replacement dashboard-mounted rearview mirror. A matching top boot is included in the sale, and additional work completed during the refurbishment is said to have included refinishing multiple interior surfaces and replacing various wiring components.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer as well as gauges for oil pressure, water temperature, and fuel level. The gauges were reportedly reconditioned, rebuilt, and recalibrated during the refurbishment, and the trim rings were also polished. The five-digit odometer shows 63k miles, and total mileage is unknown.
The 1.9-liter M121 inline-four is equipped with a pair of Solex carburetors, and an auxiliary electric fuel pump has been added. Work completed during the refurbishment reportedly included reconditioning the heating ducts, rebuilding the generator, starter, water pump, and carburetors, and replacing the fuel tank, ignition components, fuel lines, and radiator and heater cores.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a fully synchronized four-speed manual transmission that was reportedly overhauled during the refurbishment.
