The black soft top features a plastic rear window and is stowed under a red leather top boot. The painted steel 13″ wheels wear chrome hubcaps with body-color centers as well as beauty rings, and they are mounted with Vredestein Sprint Classic whitewall tires. A matching spare wheel with an Ironman tire is mounted in the trunk. Braking is handled by vacuum-assisted drums all around.
Said to be delivered from the factory with blue upholstery, the cabin features bucket seats that were retrimmed in red leather during the 2010s refurbishment. Features include lap belts, a clock, and a 190SL-branded radio blanking plate. The adjustable rearview mirror is said to rattle at speed.
The ivory-color two-spoke steering wheel is accented by a chrome horn ring and frames VDO instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer as well as oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level gauges. Just over 84k miles are shown on the five-digit odometer, 1,200 of which were added during current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 1.9-liter M121 inline-four features a single overhead camshaft and breathes through a pair of Solex side-draft carburetors. New carburetor and intake manifold gaskets were installed in October 2020, and an oil change was performed.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission. A repair of the shifter linkage was performed in October 2020.
