Finished from the factory in Daytona Blue (916), the body was repainted in the early 2010s during prior ownership. The pop-up headlamp motors have reportedly been replaced, and exterior features include chrome bumperettes, dual side mirrors, and twin exhaust pipes that exit through the rear valance. Imperfect hood fit is noted by the seller.
Turbine-style 15″ alloy wheels feature three-eared knock-off spinners and are mounted with BFGoodrich Silvertown whitewall tires. A spare is housed in a drop-down compartment at the rear. Braking is handled by power-assisted drums at all four corners, and the car is also equipped with power steering. According to the seller, the brake booster and lines were replaced and the suspension was overhauled in 2019.
The seats have been retrimmed in blue leather and matching replacement carpets have been installed. Interior features include a Vintage Air air conditioning system, a vertically-mounted push-button AM radio, an analog clock, Chevrolet-branded rubber floor mats, and lap belts. The self-cancel feature of the turn signal stalk is said to intermittently function.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline. The five-digit odometer shows 41k miles, approximately 200 of which were added during current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 327ci V8 was reportedly sourced from a 1968 Corvette and fitted with “double hump” cylinder heads. The engine is said to have been installed in the 1970s and refurbished in 2019. The seller states that the wiring and fuel lines have been replaced.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie four-speed manual transmission. Additional photos of the underbody are presented in the gallery.
