Chrome 14″ Magnum 500 wheels are mounted with 215/60 front and 245/60 rear BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Factory equipment included power steering and front disc brakes, while modifications consist of a Wilwood tandem brake master cylinder and Traction Master bars fitted to the rear leaf springs.
The four-place cabin features seats trimmed in black vinyl, and matching upholstery extends to the carpeting and door panels. Interior equipment includes aftermarket air conditioning, a push-button FM radio, rubber Pony-branded floor mats, and lap belts for all occupants. The removed radio and heater box are included in the sale, and photos showing separation on the headliner are viewable in the gallery.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel sits ahead of a 140-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges while an aftermarket 8k-rpm tachometer has been fitted to the steering column. The five-digit odometer shows 79k miles, approximately 30k of which were added by the owner. Total mileage is unknown.
Decoding the door tag reveals the following information:
The 289ci HiPo V8 was reportedly overhauled in 2010 and is equipped with Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection, PerTronix electronic ignition, a Motorcraft distributor cap, a one-wire alternator, an oil cooler, and Cobra-branded valve covers. The radiator support has been modified to accommodate the larger aluminum radiator and the exhaust system has been fitted with cut-outs. The removed Holley carburetor will accompany the car.
Engine stamping “6R09K158205” corresponds with the chassis number shown in the gallery.
Power is directed to the rear wheels through a Toploader four-speed manual transmission and a 9″ rear end with 3.50:1 gearing. A spare set of 3.89:1 gears will accompany the car. Additional photos of the underbody are included in the gallery.
