Black 15″ steel wheels wear chrome hubcaps and 33″x10.50″ BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain tires, and are mounted over manually-locking hubs up front. The truck was lifted 2.5″ using Old Man Emu suspension components, Bilstein shocks, and a reverse shackle kit. The bed features a body-colored headache rack with lighting and is coated with spray-in Vortex liner that has been rubbed off at the outer left rear corner.
The cab houses FJ60 seats that have been reupholstered in black vinyl and fabric. Amenities include power steering, three-point safety belts, a Tuffy lockable storage console with cupholders, a Vintage Air Gen IV HVAC unit, and a RetroSound stereo with USB ports and Bluetooth.
A Grant GT steering wheels frames a Dakota Digital gauge cluster with an odometer that shows 1k miles. Total chassis mileage is unknown. Modern accessory switches are mounted in the dash.
The 3.3-liter Cummins turbodiesel four-cylinder was installed in 2003 by Proffitt’s Resurrection Land Cruisers according to the seller, and was fitted with an intercooler in 2018. Additional work performed at that time included installation of a 4L65E automatic transmission with overdrive as well as a new wiring harness. Cooling is from an aluminum radiator with an electric fan. An oil change was performed in September 2020.
The frame was powder-coated black during the 2018 work, in-progress images of which are shown in the gallery. A video from Proffitt’s Resurrection Land Cruisers detailing various aspects of the build can be seen below, along with start-up and driving footage.
