The bus was originally manufactured in Lotus White and was reportedly repainted in the current shade of Texas Brown under previous ownership in 2012. Equipment includes European-style headlights, pop-out safari-style front windows, six hinged side windows, color-matched bumpers with rope-wrapped overriders, swing-out side doors, dual side mirrors, a custom “1900” rear badge, and aluminum belt-line trim with a contrasting red filler strip.

Chrome 15″ Fuchs-style wheels are wrapped in Contential ContiProContact tires. A matching spare is housed in the rear compartment. The van is also equipped with a narrowed front ball joint beam, Kieft & Klok front air shocks, Old Speed drop spindles, and Wagenswest adjustable spring plates. Braking is handled by red-finished Porsche 944-sourced front calipers over vented discs along with rear drums.
The bus left the factory with Aero Balearic cloth upholstery (71), and it now features tan Bedford chord upholstery with brown vinyl piping. Interior equipment includes a Gene Berg shifter, lap belts, two-tone door panels, a VDO clock, and rubber floor coverings. Seating for seven is enabled by a walk-through cab with divided front seats and two rows of bench seats in the back. A stain is noted on the driver’s seat bottom.
A banjo-style three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a body-color steel dashboard and instrumentation consisting of a VDO 80-mph speedometer and a fuel-level gauge. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 650 miles, and the true mileage is unknown.
The air-cooled 1,904cc flat-four dual-port engine is fed by dual Solex Kadron carburetors and reportedly features a Bernie Bergmann stroker crankshaft, a 12-volt alternator, a degreed crank pulley, an MST serpentine belt kit, a Bosch coil, an external oil filter housing, and a Vintage Speed exhaust system. Service under current ownership has consisted of adjusting the valves and carburetors, setting the timing, and performing an oil change.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Rancho Transaxle “Freeway Flyer” four-speed manual transaxle. The transaxle fluid was flushed under the seller’s ownership, and additional photos of the underside are provided in the image gallery.
