The 302ci V8 features a Winters cross-ram intake with cowl plenum induction, dual Holley four-barrel carburetors, forged steel crankshaft, domed aluminum pistons, and a solid-lifter camshaft. The engine is said to have been rebuilt during previous ownership.
A photo of the engine stamping shows the sequence 461605, which matches the last six digits of the vehicle’s chassis number. The MO suffix corresponds with a 302ci engine for use in a Z/28 for the 1968 model year. A selection of stamping images are shown in the gallery below.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and 4.56:1 positraction rear axle.
