Delivered from the factory in Rallye Green (79) with white stripes, the car is said to have received a replacement right fender in the 1970s. It received new glass and a replacement trunk lid before it was repainted in its factory color during the refurbishment which concluded in 2020. Features include chrome bumpers and wheel arch trim, a flat hood, T-3 headlights, a driver-side mirror, and Z/28 badges.
The silver-painted 15″ Rally wheels received replacement center caps and trim rings during the refurbishment and are fitted with Goodyear Wide Tread GT E70-15 bias-ply tires. A steel spare wheel is fitted in the trunk. Suspension, steering, and brake components are said to have been replaced during the refurbishment. Stopping power is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The cabin features bucket seats and a rear bench that have been reupholstered in ivory vinyl. Dynamat insulation was reportedly fitted during the refurbishment, and additional equipment includes woodgrain dash trim, a push-button Delco AM radio, a Hurst shifter, lap belts, and Chevrolet-branded black rubber floor mats.
The black two-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel-level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows under 3,500 miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 302ci V8 was reportedly ordered by the second owner from Bud Cleary Chevrolet of Longview, Washington, and installed in October 1976. The engine was rebuilt in 2016 with forged pistons and connecting rods, a Crane Duntov-style 30-30 camshaft, cast steel roller tip rockers, and Crane lifters. Additional features include an aluminum Winters intake manifold, factory smog equipment, and a chrome air cleaner. Service performed by the selling dealer included the installation of replacement spark plugs, a distributor shaft, rear main seal, and gaskets for the intake manifold and oil pan. The carburetor was also rebuilt.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via Muncie four-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt Posi-traction rear end with Eaton springs and 3.73:1 gears. The transmission is said to have been rebuilt during the refurbishment, and a new clutch was installed. A Gardner chambered exhaust system is also fitted.
