Chrome-finished 14″ wheels are wrapped in F70 Goodyear Polyglas tires. The seller states that the power-steering pump and hoses have been replaced, as have the outer tie rods and shocks all around. The front wheel bearings were cleaned and packed, and the seals were replaced. The braking system was refurbished under current ownership with the following:
The cabin features high-back bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl with textured inserts over black carpeting and red floor mats. The dashboard and door panels are adorned with woodgrain trim, and additional amenities include an AM radio, a fold-down Sport Deck rear seat, three-point front seatbelts, and rear lap belts.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer displays just over 17k miles, approximately 200 of which have been added by the seller. The odometer is said to have rolled over once.
The Windsor 351ci V8 is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor that was rebuilt by the seller. Engine-rebuild work completed since October 2020 included cleaning and polishing the crankshaft, replacing the cam bearings, surfacing the cylinder heads, decking and equalizing the block, and overboring the block by .030″. Other replacement components include the following:
Additional work included refreshing the distributor and replacing the points and condenser, replacing the spark plugs and ignition wires, cleaning the radiator and replacing the hoses and cap, and installing a Carter fuel pump and a Motorcraft fuel filter. Images of the engine during various stages of the rebuild are provided in the gallery. It is noted that the serial-number stampings on the engine and the transmission match the chassis number of the car with the exception of one digit (187449 vs 188449).
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a close-ratio four-speed manual transmission with a replacement clutch assembly and a resurfaced flywheel through a 3.25:1 rear end with a Traction-Lok limited-slip differential. The seller notes that the chassis was lubed, the fuel tank was replaced, and a replacement exhaust system was installed using the existing hangers.
