Replacement Parchment MB-Tex seat covers and red carpets were installed prior to the seller’s acquisition. In 2019, Super Upholstery in Woodstock, Georgia, replaced the headliner, re-covered the door panels and rear side panels, and re-dyed the sun visors and other trim. A folding rear bench seat has been added, and additional amenities include air conditioning, power steering, wood trim, and a Becker Mexico cassette player.
The black two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and fronts VDO instrumentation consisting of a 140-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. Just over 87k miles are shown on the five-digit odometer. Cracks are noted on the steering wheel.
The numbers-matching 2.8-liter M130 inline-six was factory rated at 168 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque and features Bosch mechanical fuel injection. The oil was changed in March 2020.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission that received new fluid and a modulator diaphragm in March 2020. New exhaust hangers were also added at that time, and additional photos of the underside are provided in the image gallery.
