The Dino Spider 2400 was designed by Pininfarina and debuted at the 1969 Turin Motor Show. This example reportedly underwent a repaint during prior ownership before being repainted in its current blue finish in 2012. Equipment includes a removable fiberglass hardtop along with a replacement black soft top and a matching boot cover. The seller notes a crack in the finish near the trunk hinge as well as chips on the hood, decklid, and doors. Paint protection film is said to have been applied to the front of the car, and up close photos of the paintwork are presented in the gallery below.
Cromodora 14” wheels wear yellow Dino-branded center caps and are wrapped in 205/70 BFGoodrich Radial T/A rubber. A matching spare with an older Michelin tire is stored in the trunk. The revised Dino 2400 models were equipped with an independent rear suspension, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes.
The cockpit is trimmed in black upholstery with matching door panels and carpets along with wood accents on the dashboard and center stack. The front bucket seats feature optional headrests, and additional amenities include a quartz clock, a Retrosound stereo, Alpine speakers, three-point front seatbelts, and floor mats with Dino embroidery. The heater core was replaced in preparation for the sale. The seller reports a crack in the passenger footwell vinyl and peeling trim on the passenger-side door panel.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel wears a Dino-branded horn button and frames Veglia instrumentation consisting of a 250-km/h speedometer, a tachometer with an 8k-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges indicating oil pressure, oil temperature, water temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 42k kilometers (~26k miles), approximately 20k of which were added under current ownership.
The replacement 2.4-liter V6 is said to have been refurbished under previous ownership and is equipped with quad overhead camshafts and a dual exhaust system. Service performed in 2021 is said to have included the installation of an electric fuel pump and the replacement of the distributor.. Compression test readings can be viewed in the gallery.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a ZF five-speed manual transmission with a dogleg shift pattern and a limited-slip differential.
