The 15×6″ center-laced, 72-spoke Dayton wire wheels feature earless spinners and are mounted with 205/75 Coker Classic radial redline tires that were installed in 2008. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with inboard rear rotors. A suspension service was performed by Sovereign Motors of Vancouver, British Columbia, in 2019, and a brake fluid flush was also done that year.
The cabin features high-backed bucket seats with headrests that were reupholstered in black leather from OSJI of Muncie, Indiana, during the 2000s refurbishment. Black Wilton wool carpets were also installed along with new window cranks and regulators, and the interior brightwork was either refurbished or replaced depending on wear. Features include an AM/FM radio, a cigar lighter, a center console, and lap belts. The car was previously equipped with an air-conditioning system that has since been removed.
The XK’s Unlimited wood-rimmed steering wheel is smaller than the factory unit and fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows just under 74k miles, approximately 3k of which were reportedly added since the 2000s refurbishment.
The 4.2-liter inline-six features twin Stromberg carburetors and finned cam covers as well as an aftermarket thermostat and electric fans to aid cooling. The powertrain was rebuilt by All Power Engines of North Vancouver, British Columbia, approximately 20 years ago and was reinstalled with a new clutch, mounts, and a fuel sending unit. A 2019 service included the installation of a new water pump and a starter, an oil change, and a coolant flush. The accessory bracket and wiring harness are prepared for the installation of air conditioning equipment according to the seller.
Engine stamping 7R9351–9 matches both the chassis tag and Jaguar Production Record Trace Certificate.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission. Additional underside photos are viewable in the gallery below.
