A pneumatic self-leveling suspension system with driver-adjustable shock absorbers was standard on the 600. Four-wheel disc brakes are actuated by a dual-circuit hydraulic system assisted by pressurized air, with twin calipers acting on each front rotor.
The cabin is trimmed in parchment leather with matching carpets as well as Macassar ebony accents on the dash, door panels, and windows. The hydraulic system supplies power for the front and rear power seats, windows, central locks, and sunroof. Additional amenities include air conditioning with front and rear controls, an air-conditioned console bar compartment, rear privacy curtains, and a Becker Grand Prix radio.
A two-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 4,800-rpm redline. The five-digit odometer shows 57k miles, approximately 400 of which have been added under current ownership.
The 6.3-liter M100 V8 features single overhead camshafts and Bosch mechanical fuel injection, and was factory rated at 300 horsepower and 434 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a column-shifted four-speed automatic transmission.
