The car was factory finished in Iris Blue Metallic and is said to have been refinished in 2018, after which new body and window seals were installed and a ceramic coating was applied. LED headlights were added with headlight covers painted to match the body, and new struts for the front trunk and rear deck lid were installed. The factory headlights are included in the sale, and the car is equipped with a power-operated sunroof that can be seen opened in the gallery below. The Carfax report notes a “sideswipe collision” in 2005 under prior ownership which the seller states resulted in damage to the left front fender which was subsequently replaced and refinished.
Forged 16″ Fuchs wheels wear Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires measuring 205/55 up front and 225/50 out back and showing 2018 and 2019 date codes. Stopping is provided by ventilated disc brakes at all four corners, and new Sachs front and rear shocks are said to have been installed in March 2020.
The cockpit features newer blue leather over re-foamed front seats as well as a matching headliner and carpets. Amenities include air conditioning, electric windows, power-adjustable front seats, and a Sirius XM-ready Porsche Classic Communication System with Focus speakers.
A refinished leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer, a 170-mph speedometer, and a six-digit odometer showing 81k miles. Approximately 6k miles were added by the seller in 3 years of ownership.
The 3.2-liter M930/21 flat-six was delivered with California emissions equipment. A top-end overhaul is said to have been performed in 2020, which included new sensors, belts, and hoses along with replacement of the air conditioning evaporator, battery, and alternator. An oil change was performed in June 2021 in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed 915/73 manual transaxle. The stamping 74G00864 is shown in the gallery below and matches the transmission number shown on the Porsche Production Specifications certificate. The clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, and clutch cable were reportedly replaced in 2020, and a lightweight flywheel is said to have been installed.
The Production Specifications document lists the vehicle’s factory engine and transmission numbers along with color and trim information and options. A window sticker and 1985 purchase documentation are presented in the gallery below.
