An M-tech 1 steering wheel frames factory VDO instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an inset oil temperature gauge, and gauges for coolant temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 156k miles, approximately 30k of which were added during current ownership.
The 2.3-liter S14 inline-four was factory rated at 192 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque. Service in 2017 included replacing the distributor cap and rotor, the spark plugs and wires, and the crank position and angle sensors. A Jim Conforti performance chip and a trunk-mounted battery tender are said to have been installed.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed Getrag manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The seller reports the muffler has been removed.
Service records are included in the sale along with manufacturer’s literature, a factory tool kit, the removed factory stereo and kidney grilles, a sun shade, and two keys.
