The NSX featured aluminum bodywork, and this example is finished in Formula Red with a black roof panel and pillars. Features include pop-up headlights, an integrated rear wing, side air intakes, power-adjustable side mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets. A replacement chin spoiler will accompany the car.
The 17″ front and 18″ rear Volk CE28N wheels are mounted with Yokohama S-drive tires measuring 215/40 and 275/35, respectively. The car features a four-wheel double-wishbone suspension with front and rear stabilizer bars, and JRZ coilovers have been installed along with Science of Speed Non-Compliance pivot clamps and rear toe links as well as a non-compliance rear beam. StopTech big brake kits have been installed front and rear and feature cross-drilled and ventilated rotors. The seller notes that a later NA2-specification ABS system has been retrofitted. The removed brake and suspension parts will accompany the car.
The cabin features power-adjustable sport seats upholstered in Black leather, while black leather covers the dashboard as well as the upper center console and door surfaces. Interior amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, and a Kenwood touchscreen stereo unit linked to an Alpine amplifier and Focal speakers. The stainless-steel door sill plates are stamped with the car’s serial number.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a tachometer with an 8,000-rpm redline, a 188-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 59k miles, approximately 38k of which were added under current ownership.
The mid-mounted 3.0-liter V6 features VTEC variable valve timing and was factory rated at 270 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque. The timing belt and water pump were replaced in 2016, and the trunk-lid and engine-cover struts were replaced within the last year.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle said to be equipped with JDM-style short gears and an OS Giken limited-slip differential. A photo showing transaxle serial number J4A4-3000362 is provided in the gallery, indicating that the unit falls outside the snap-ring failure range. DC Sports exhaust headers and cat-back exhaust components have been installed.
The removed exhaust components, struts, wheels, and other parts will accompany the car along with manufacturer’s literature, a car cover, and rear fender service covers.
The Carfax report indicates no accidents or other damage along with history in California since the first entry in 1993.
