The seller states the body was refinished on all the panels with the exception of the roof by Enthusiast Auto Group of Cincinnati, Ohio in 2008. A scrape is visible on the right front fender, and the sunroof occasionally sticks when opening from the front.
Staggered-width 18” Style 37 M Parallel wheels wear Goodyear Eagle F1 tires sized 245/40 in the front and 275/35 rear. The driver-controlled self-leveling Adaptive M Suspension with Electronic Damper Control (EDC) is said to have a leak from the right rear shock. Late-build M5s were also equipped with thicker 20mm rear anti-roll bars, larger brake rotors with floating front calipers, and Servotronic steering.
The cabin features seats trimmed in Individual two-tone Petrol and Mint Nappa leather, which extends to the door panels, dashboard surfaces, and center console. Additional equipment includes heated power-adjustable front sport seats with position memory, automatic climate control, power windows, rear sun blinds, cruise control, Anthracite Birds-Eye Maple wood trim, and a BMW Professional stereo system. The seller notes that the rear defroster is inoperable, and the keyless entry functions intermittently.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 180-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer with an integrated oil temperature gauge. The digital odometer shows 107k miles, 10k of which were added by the seller.
The 3.8-liter S38B38 inline-six was rated at 340 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque when new. Recent service consisted of changing the oil and replacing the battery and air filter.
