The Viper GTS coupe was introduced for the 1996 model year and features a double-bubble roof panel, a glass rear hatch, an integrated rear spoiler, and fog lights. This example is finished in Viper GTS Blue with white over-the-top stripes and Indianapolis 500 Official Pace Car graphics. The seller reports that the driver-side door weatherstripping was replaced in preparation for the sale and that the weatherstripping around the door stanchion is missing. Oxidation is present on the racing-style fuel filler cap.
Polished 17″ aluminum wheels are mounted with 275/40 front and 335/35 rear Michelin Pilot SX tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs with Viper-branded front calipers. The brake fluid was flushed in July 2017.
The cockpit features high-back bucket seats trimmed in black leather with perforated central inserts along with a matching dash, door panels, and carpets protected by Viper-embroidered floor mats. Amenities include an Alpine CD stereo, air conditioning, dual airbags, and power windows. Close-up photos of scuffs and tears on the bolsters of both seats are provided in the gallery.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts white-dial instrumentation including a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, a 200-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage. The six-digit odometer shows 12k miles, approximately 1k of which were added during current ownership.
The 8.0-liter V10 features a red intake manifold and matching valve covers with Viper lettering and was factory rated at 450 horsepower and 490 lb-ft of torque. Service in July 2017 included a coolant system flush and installation of a replacement oil pan gasket. An oil change was last performed in May 2021, and the car is equipped with wiring for a battery maintainer.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Additional underside photos are presented in the gallery below.
Two car covers are included in the sale and are stored in a Viper-branded bag. Manufacturer’s literature, partial service records, and two keys will also accompany the car.
