Replacement 16″ Acura NSX wheels were powder-coated in Championship White in December 2020 and wear Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 tires. Factory 15” alloy wheels are also included in the sale. Various suspension components and the brake calipers were powder-coated in October 2018. Additionally, the suspension bushings and associated hardware were replaced, along with the lower rear control arms, brake pads, and Power Slot rotors.
Black synthetic suede and cloth upholstery is accented with red stitching, and branded floor mats cover matching carpets. Amenities include a custom suede shifter boot with red stitching, power windows and locks, a stock CD stereo, and air conditioning. A plaque on the center armrest identifies this Type R as #363 in the series.
A Momo steering wheel with a Mugen horn button frames instrumentation including a tachometer with an 8,400-rpm redline and a six-digit odometer showing 78k miles. The stock steering wheel and engine ECU will accompany the sale.
The 1.8-liter B18C5 DOHC inline-four features VTEC variable valve timing, and was rated at 195 horsepower at 8k rpm and 130 lb-ft of torque when new. Modifications include adjustable cam gears, a Hondata ECU, a Walbro fuel pump, and RC Engineering 440 cc/min fuel injectors as well as a Mugen air intake, header, and cat-back exhaust system. The timing belt was replaced in January 2021 according to the seller.
The car was originally delivered to American Honda Motor Co. in Irving, Texas without an MSRP and comes with a window sticker stamped “Not for Retail Sale.”
