The cabin features two manually adjustable Recaro sport seats upholstered in Dark Charcoal cloth with Cobra R logos embroidered on the seat backs. Interior amenities include a leather-wrapped shift knob, Cobra-branded floor mats, and power windows and locks. The rear seats, air-conditioning system, radio, and cruise control were eliminated as weight-saving measures.
The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 180-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, battery charge, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 42k miles, approximately 50 of which were added by the selling dealer.
The 5.4-liter DOHC V8 was factory rated at 385 horsepower and 385 lb-ft of torque when new. Equipment includes a power steering cooler, an aluminum radiator, performance camshafts, and the selling dealer notes that a custom dyno tune has been added.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission. A MagnaFlow exhaust system is installed, and the removed exhaust system accompanies the car.
The Ford Special Vehicle Team certificate identifies this as #140 of 300 examples produced and notes the March 15, 2000, assembly date.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists registration history in Missouri, Minnesota, and Arizona. An open recall from 2000 is listed. A start-up and driving video is provided below.
