Staggered-width 18″ split-spoke wheels are unique to the Z8 and wear 245/45 front and 275/40 rear Toyo Proxes T1 Sport tires. Braking power is provided by four-wheel ventilated discs.
The cabin is upholstered in Crema leather with a matching lower dash, door panels, and carpets while body-colored accents highlight the upper dashboard, center console, seat trim, and door panels. Amenities include heated seats, air conditioning, leather-wrapped roll hoops, and a replacement factory stereo. The seller notes the auto-dimming mirror has failed, and the headliners are sagging on both the soft top and hardtop.
Centrally mounted instrumentation is angled toward the driver and includes a 155-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an inset analog clock, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer shows just under 18k miles.
The 4.9-liter S62 V8 features double VANOS variable valve timing, individual throttle bodies, a double-row timing chain, and hollow camshafts and produced 394 horsepower and 368 lb-ft torque from the factory. An oil change and safety inspection was carried out in August 2020 by BMW of Fairfax, Virginia.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox. Additional underbody photos are provided in the gallery below.
