The GTS model of the second-generation Viper featured a fixed double-bubble roof, and this example is finished in Deep Sapphire Blue Pearl with optional dual silver stripes. Additional equipment includes a NACA duct and rear vents in the hood, a racing-style fuel filler door, side vents, an MGW license plate frame, and dual center-exit exhaust outlets with polished tips.
Polished 18″ aluminum wheels are wrapped in 295/30 front and 335/30 rear Toyo Proxes R888 tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel anti-lock discs with Viper-script front calipers.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black leather along with a matching dashboard, door panels, center console, and carpets. Equipment includes air conditioning, power windows, and an Alpine CD stereo as well as an MGW shift knob, glovebox door, climate control knobs, and sill plates. A fire extinguisher has been mounted in the passenger-side footwell. The rear hatch struts need to be replaced.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 200-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, while gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage are mounted atop the center stack. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 4,400 miles, approximately 3,500 of which were added by the seller.
The 8.0-liter V10 was factory rated at 450 horsepower and 490 lb-ft of torque when new. The engine oil and brake fluid were changed in 2021.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec T-56 six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. A Corsa exhaust system is said to have been installed along with Random Technology high-flow catalytic converters. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery.
The window sticker lists equipment and options, initial delivery to Frederick Motors Incorporated of Boardman, Ohio, and a total price of $79,000.
Manufacturer’s literature, a color-matched Speed Lingerie front nose cover, and the removed exhaust are also included in the sale.
