Fewer than 200 360 Modena Challenge race cars were reportedly produced, and buyers were required to enter the Ferrari Challenge race series as a condition of the sale. This example is finished in Rosso Corsa with sponsor decals. The Lexan side windows have been removed and are included in the sale. The seller notes that the front bumper was repaired and refinished after it was damaged on a travel trailer, the windshield was replaced, and wrinkles are present at hood hinge points.
Factory 18″ BBS Challenge wheels are finished in yellow and wrapped in Yokohama racing slicks. Adjustable racing dampers were standard, and braking is handled by multi-piston Brembo calipers and slotted rotors all around. An additional set of wheels is also included in the sale.
The cabin is fitted with dual Ferrari Challenge-branded OMP racing seats with Sabelt harnesses, a FireSence fire-suppression system, a driver’s window net, and a center console switch panel. An aftermarket roll cage was added in 2004.
A three-spoke steering wheel fronts shift paddles and a Magneti Marelli LCD display.
The 3.6-liter quad-cam V8 features five valves per cylinder and developed 410 horsepower and 286 lb-ft of torque in Challenge specification. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a six-speed F1 sequential transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes remapped ECU software, stiffened engine mounts, a Setrab transmission oil cooler, a lightweight exhaust system, and a racing clutch. The seller states that a timing belt service was carried out in 2018 by Competzion Motors of Sonoma, California. The fluids were also changed at that time.
