Polished 16″ wheels wear 265/75 Firestone Steeltex A/T tires, and a spare is mounted beneath the bed. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with ABS, and manually locking hubs are noted up front.
The six-passenger cab houses heated and power-adjustable front seats and a rear bench upholstered in Medium Flint (8E) leather, while faux-wood trim accents the door panels. Other appointments include air conditioning, cruise control, a fold-down center console, power locks and windows, adjustable pedals, Ford-branded rubber floor mats, and a CD/cassette stereo.
The leather-wrapped airbag steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, transmission temperature, and fuel level. A Maxon CB radio and a Draw-Tite Activator II trailer brake controller are mounted below the dashboard. The digital odometer indicates 6k miles.
The 7.3-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel V8 was rated at 235 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque when new. An engine block heater was optioned from the factory.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a 3.73:1 rear axle. Additional underside photos are presented in the gallery below.
